Actually, I don't get the idea, but i'm afraid this is one of those things that is spoiled in the explaining..so I am willing to let it remain a mystery, thank you.
You might not be aware that there is a phrase which goes "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing". Look at the graph again, and look at the Knowledge/quantity relationship. It should all begin to make some sort of sense at that point.
